Donation Refund & Returns Policy

1. Scope & What It Covers

  • Applies to all donations made via the SPNL website (www.spnl.org).
  • Each donation is treated separately; agreeing to donate binds you to the Terms & Conditions for that particular donation. It does not automatically set up any recurring or future donations unless you specifically do that.

2. How Donations Are Processed

  • All donations are made using a payment card (credit/debit or similar).
  • The transaction is handled through their payment service provider: WooCommerce. By confirming the donation via the website, you authorize WooCommerce to request the funds from your card provider.

3. Your Responsibilities

  • You must provide correct personal details: name, address, email, and card payment details. Mistakes in these could affect donation processing or refunds.
  • You’re responsible for checking that these are correct before submitting. SPNL does not accept responsibility for mistakes in the information you provided (unless they caused them).

4. Refunds (Errors / Mistakes)

  • If you make an error in your donation (for example, accidental amount, wrong card, etc.), you can request a full refund.
  • Time limit: Requests must be made within 14 days of making the donation.
  • How to request: You can contact SPNL by any of these methods:
  • If the error is valid and the request is within the 14-day window, SPNL will issue a full refund.

5. What Refunds Do Not Cover / What Happens Otherwise

  • If more than 14 days have passed since the donation, SPNL’s policy does not guarantee a refund. Requests after that may be refused. (The Terms don’t explicitly state partial refunds or exceptions past 14 days.)
  • If the donation was made correctly and you simply change your mind, SPNL’s policy likely doesn’t require them to refund outside the error-case or 14 day window. (They grant refunds for “errors.”) spnl.org

6. Other Considerations

  • Unauthorised card use: If your card is lost, stolen, or used without your authorisation, you must notify your card provider. SPNL requires you to do so if you become aware of any fraudulent transaction.
  • SPNL may amend or change these terms from time to time. But the version that applies is the one in force at the time when you made your donation.
  • Data privacy: when you make a donation, SPNL collects your name, address, email, and card details via WooCommerce. These data practices are governed by their Privacy Policy. Personal data is used to process the donation, send receipts, contact you if needed, etc.
